CEO AT NEPTUNO PUMPS AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AT CENTRO DE INNOVACIÓN Y ECONOMÍA CIRCULAR (CIEC)

Petar is a Mechanical Civil Engineer (UTFSM, Chile), M.Sc. (University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA). Born in Iquique, Chile, and currently living in the "driest desert in the world", he is CEO of Neptuno Pumps and Founder and Executive Director of the first Center for Innovation and Circular Economy (CIEC) in Latin America. Endeavor High Impact Entrepreneur, recognized as the first promoter of the circular economy in Latin America and creator of the world's first circular pump by the World Economic Forum and Young Global Leaders. Recognized in 2017 by the World Economic Forum as "Highly Commended" in the Circular Economy Leadership category in "The Circulars 2017", Petar participates in various public and private initiatives as a specialist in Innovation, Circular Economy, Advanced Manufacturing, 3D Printing, Sustainability, Smart City and Climate Change. As CEO of Neptuno Pumps, he has been recognized internationally with three world awards of "Innovation of the Year" and "Manufacturer of the Year" at the prestigious Pump Industry Awards in Oxford, England and with 2nd Place at the 2016 World Economic Circulars Awards Forum in Davos, Switzerland. In Chile he has been recognized with the Avonni National Innovation Prize, National Award of the Chilean Engineers Association, Chilean Institute of Engineers Best Project of the Year Award and twice as Best National Supplier in the Mining Suppliers Ranking, among others. As an entrepreneur and innovator he is the winner of the Giant Prize of Tarapacá and recently the Entrepreneur of the Year Award Creo in Chile 2017.
