NATIONAL DIRECTOR OF ENVIRONMENT - MINISTRY OF HOUSING, TERRITORIAL PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENT (MVOTMA)

The current National Director of Environment for the Ministry of Housing, Territorial Planning and Environment of Uruguay (MVOTMA), Alejandro is a Chemical Engineer from the University of the Republic (UdelaR) and has undertaken multiple postgraduate courses. Dedicated to Environmental Engineering since 2006, he provided technical advice as a counterpart to the Congress of Intendants to prepare the TDR for an international call for expressions of interest in building and operating a thermal waste recovery plant for the Metropolitan Area of ​​Montevideo (1,200 Ton/d) and the construction of sanitary landfills for the municipalities of the country. Alejandro integrates the Uruguayan Association of Chemical Engineers (AIQ) and the Interamerican Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (AIDIS), having integrated its Board as the Pro Secretary. He is also a technical representative of the Chamber of Industries of Uruguay in the commission for the elaboration of fixed sources emission standards GESTA Air - DINAMA (2011).
